Tip: Make sure you don’t press too hard on the paper when you draw your pencil lines so that you can correct your mistakes with an eraser as you go through the tutorial.
Follow along with our steps to find out how to create a watermelon drawing.
Draw two curved lines using a light pencil stroke.
Connect the curved lines with two vertical lines to form a triangle shape.
Draw a rectangle shape at the right-hand side of the triangle shape.
Draw a few small raindrop shapes inside the overall shape to create watermelon seeds.
To create more texture and detail, draw small curved lines inside your watermelon.
These will represent the juicy flesh of your watermelon slice.
Draw rough edges to the watermelon to create a more realistic look.
Repeat on the rectangle shape on the right-hand side.
Outline the bottom line of the watermelon (the Rind).
Outline the top of the rind.
Draw small curved lines on the side of your watermelon.
Then add a small circle inside each seed.
Draw small lines on the rind.
Draw a few lines across the bottom of your watermelon slice to create the surface.
Erase any unwanted pencil marks.
