Step 1: Create a Perfectly Symmetrical Shape

To make your onion look perfectly symmetrical, you can use a compass or even trace around a circular object like a mug. This will help to create symmetry and a nice shape.

Draw a medium oval shape using light lines.

Step 2: Draw the Bottom Part of Your Onion

Draw a long curved line at the bottom of your oval using a darker pencil mark.

Step 3: Draw the Middle and the Top of the Onion

The next step is to draw the middle and the top of your onion.

Draw two curved lines and connect those with the bottom part. This should create an upside-down light bulb shape.

Step 4: Erase the Pencil
