How to Cow Sketch Easy Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Draw the Cow’s Body Shape

Start by drawing an oval that will form the main body of your cow. Use a light pencil stroke.

Step 2: Draw the Cow’s Head

Once have your outline of the cow’s body completed, draw a much smaller oval to form the head.

Step 3: Connect the Head with the Body

A. Draw a long curved line beginning at the top of the head and ending at the lower back. Use a darker pencil stroke.

B. Draw another shorter curved line coming from the bottom of the head.

Step 4: Create the Back of the Cow

Draw a vertical curved line at the back of the medium oval you created in Step 1.

Step 5: Draw the First Back Leg

Using two vertical lines draw the first leg and connect it to the body. Make sure one of the lines is slightly curved in the middle.

Step 6: Draw the Second Back Leg

Repeat Step 5 to form the second leg.

Step 7: Draw the Front Two Legs

Draw four vertical lines and connect them to the body to create front two legs.

Draw a curved line between the legs.

Step 9: Draw the Cow’s Middle Line and Cow’s Hooves

Draw a curved line between the legs for the udder.

Then, draw four small rectangles at the joints of each leg to create hooves.

Draw two small triangle shapes on the top of the cow’s head to form horns.

A. Draw a small curved line on the left side of the head.

Draw a curved line from the end of the head to make the mouth.

Then, draw a small round shape for the nose and add two nostrils.

Step 13: Add the Cow’s Eyes

Draw two small circles for the eyes with a slightly smaller circle inside each one.

Step 14: Draw the Cow’s Ears

Using two curved lines draw ears, one on each side of the head. Then draw another small curved line inside each ear.

Step 15: Erase the Pencil Marks

Once all the details are in place, you can erase any unwanted pencil marks.

Draw two curved lines at the back of your cow’s body. Make sure they gradually separate towards the end to create a cow’s tail-like shape.
