Follow below our steps to sketch the base of your panda drawing:
The first step is to create a panda head drawing by drawing a small oval to create the head using a light pencil stroke.
Now is the time to sketch the outline of the body. Draw two ovals, one larger and one medium size using a light pencil stroke.
A. Using a darker pencil stroke, connect the head with the body by drawing a long curved line on the top side of your bear. Make sure the line has some curves to create a realistic back shape.
B. Then add a small curved line at the bottom of the body with a darker pencil stroke.
A. Next, draw two semi-circle shapes on either side of the head to create the ears.
B. Draw tiny curved lines inside each ear.
Draw a long “U” shape in the middle of the head to create the nose.
Draw a small triangle for the nose using thicker lines.
Then, draw a half circle just below the nose for the mouth.
Draw two small circles on each side of the nose to create the eyes.
Start by drawing two vertical lines for the first leg.
Now, draw a half circle on the end of those lines to create the paw. Then add two tiny lines for the toes.
Draw two lines for the second leg.
Line 1: Continue the curve of the first leg into a vertical line and curve it around to the right at the bottom.
Line 2: For the second leg, draw a vertical line from the bottom of the head down so that it almost joins the first line.
Continue the first line into a backward “C” shape that touches the bottom of the second line. Then add two tiny lines for the toes.
Draw a curved line at the back of the large oval to finish the body.
Draw the hind legs and paws as you did with the front legs.
Draw a tiny curved line to create a small tail at the back of the body.
Erase any unwanted pencil marks.
Outline the right hand of the head side with a darker pencil stroke and join the line to the right line of the front leg.
Shade in the ears inside and the nose with your pencil to add more definition to the face.
A. Add a darker outline to the left side of the face, then draw two curved lines behind the head on the body to create the patches.
B. Then shade the segment and legs.
C. Draw rings around the eyes and shade them in. Then shade the ears in.
Outline your panda’s body with a darker pencil to make the panda drawing stand out.
Then add the fur by drawing a lot of small lines to the outline of your bear. Remember, panda fur is rough, so draw the lines at different angles for a more realistic look.
Finally, use even darker pencil marks to shade in the tail, legs, stripes on the body, ears, and eyes.
