Tip: Make sure you don’t press too hard on the paper when you draw your pencil lines so that you can correct your mistakes with an eraser as you go through the tutorial.
The first step is drawing the outline of the mango.
Start by drawing a medium oval shape using a light pencil stroke.
A. Draw a curved line on the bottom side using a darker pencil stroke.
B. Then draw a second curved line on the top side, leaving a small gap between the two lines.
C. Draw a small bump to connect the small gap and finish the body.
Erase any unwanted pencil marks.
Draw two curved lines coming out of the top of the oval. Then draw a tiny circle between the two lines on each end.
Draw a tiny line for a stalk. Then add a leaf shape to the stalk. Next, draw a curved line in the middle of the leaf shape.
Draw another tiny line for a stalk and add another leaf shape on the opposite side of the stem.
Draw several small lines inside the leaves.
A. Draw rough edges to the leaves using a darker pencil stroke.
B. Repeat the process with lines inside the leaves.

B. Repeat the process with the stem.
Using a criss-cross hatching technique to add a darker shade to the mango.
A. Draw several fine horizontal lines on the left side of the mango.
B. Draw several fine lines in the opposite direction.
C. Use your fingers to smudge the criss-cross pattern on the mango and the lines inside of the leaves for a more realistic look.
Complete your mango drawing by adding several lines and dots on the mango skin and leaves.
